National Police have arrested four people, aged between 27 and 42, in Málaga in connection with some 26 burglaries in Málaga, Marbella, Granada and Algeciras. Police say the group may have burgled more properties, gaining entry using the technique of lock bumping. It’s a way of opening a pin tumbler lock using a specially crafted bump key which works for all locks of the same type. Police have recovered some of the stolen goods, including watches, jewellery and other objects as three searches were carried out on properties in Benalmádena and San Pedro de Alcántara. Investigations started when the police realised that the thieves were gaining access by the same method. The four arrested are now in prison on remand.
